Students return to classrooms in Damascus for the first time since Assad’s ouster

KATHMANDU: For the first time since the ouster of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, children have returned to classrooms in Damascus.

Students dressed in school uniforms, resumed their studies at local schools, while universities have also reopened their doors.

Administrative staff and professors have returned to their offices as well.

In a statement, the Prime Minister’s Office emphasized that the interim government is fully committed to ensuring the continuity of education and that educational institutions are ready to operate smoothly.
