KATHMANDU: For the first time since the ouster of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, children have returned to classrooms in Damascus.

Students dressed in school uniforms, resumed their studies at local schools, while universities have also reopened their doors.

In a statement, the Prime Minister’s Office emphasized that the interim government is fully committed to ensuring the continuity of education and that educational institutions are ready to operate smoothly.
