Cast lineup for Nepali movie ‘Soltini’ finalized

KATHMANDU: The cast lineup for the upcoming Nepali film ‘Soltini’ has been finalized. Director Arjun Subedi announced that the film will feature an impressive ensemble of renowned actors from the Nepali film industry.

The film stars popular actors Prakash Saput and Wilson Bikram Rai, alongside actress Pariksha Limbu in leading roles.

Additionally, the cast includes experienced actors such as Rabindra Jha, Prakash Ghimire, Prem Subba, Kavita Ale, Sundar Dhital, and Sujan Khatiwada, adding depth to the project. Notably, Sabbu Gurung, selected through auditions, will also play a key role.

Prakash Saput will portray Bhimsen Pokhrel, while Parikshya Limbu will play Dilasa Rai, roles that were revealed during the film’s announcement.

This marks the first on-screen collaboration between the two, with expectations high for their pairing to create magic on screen.

Set to be filmed amidst the scenic beauty of Bhojpur, ‘Soltini’ aims to raise awareness against inhumane practices and caste discrimination in society.

The romantic storyline between the two lead characters is expected to be a major highlight.

The film’s music is composed by Prashant Siwakoti and Hercules Basnet, while Sushan Prajapati will handle the cinematography.

Produced by Regina Bista and Sansar Chaulagain, ‘Soltini’ is presented by Planet Three Films, in collaboration with NepCine and Yolo Entertainment. Trident Concept is in charge of publicity design, while RR Films Pvt. Ltd. will handle distribution in Nepal and NepCine will manage international distribution. AR Digital has secured the film’s digital rights.

Shooting for ‘Soltini’ is set to begin on Dec 30, with plans to release the film on Constitution Day, September 19, 2025.
