2 young women killed in motorcycle accident, one injured

KATHMANDU: Two young women lost their lives and a man was injured when a motorcycle carrying three people lost control and crashed in Damak, Jhapa.

The accident occurred around 10 PM last night in Damak Municipality-10, involving the motorcycle with registration number Province 101015 Pa 1793.

The victims, identified as 32-year-old Jamuna Dhimal from Gauradaha Municipality-5 and 25-year-old Om Kumari Rai, succumbed to their injuries at Damak Hospital during treatment.

The rider, 27-year-old Biraj Thapa from Ratuwamai Municipality-8 in Morang, sustained injuries and is receiving treatment at B&C Hospital in Birtamode.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident, according to the Damak Area Police Office.
