KATHMANDU: The Nepali U19 women’s cricket team is set to play its second match in the ongoing ACC U19 Women’s Asia Cup today in Malaysia.
The match will be held in Kuala Lumpur, where Nepal will face the Indian U19 team.
This is the first-ever edition of the U19 Women’s Asia Cup, and Nepal is coming off a strong performance.
In their opening game on Monday, Nepal defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets, securing a spot in the Super 4 stage.
India also confirmed its place in the Super 4 after defeating Pakistan by 9 wickets in their first match.
Group ‘A’ of the tournament includes teams like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Malaysia.
Nepal qualified for the Asia Cup after securing a place in the U19 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in Malaysia this January.
In the upcoming U19 Women’s World Cup, Nepal will compete in Group ‘D’ alongside Australia, Bangladesh, and Scotland.
