Western wind impact brings light snowfall & fog in some regions
In the morning, fog and mist have affected some areas in the Terai and the valleys, but the weather is expected to clear throughout the country by the afternoon.
KATHMANDU: According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the country is experiencing a moderate influence of western winds.
Currently, the weather in the Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces’ hilly regions remains partly cloudy, while the rest of the country enjoys mostly clear skies.
In the morning, fog and mist have affected some areas in the Terai and the valleys, but the weather is expected to clear throughout the country by the afternoon.
However, light snowfall is likely in a few places in the Himalayan regions of Gandaki province tonight, with partly cloudy conditions in the hilly regions and clear skies in the Terai.
The department has warned that morning fog and light snowfall in the high-altitude regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces may impact daily life, tourism, mountaineering, transportation, and aviation.
Necessary precautions are advised.
