Manakamana Cable Car service to halt for 2 days
The service will resume on Wednesday, Dec 18.
KATHMANDU: The Manakamana Cable Car service will be temporarily suspended for two days for maintenance.
Ujjwal Sherchan, Deputy Manager of Manakamana Darshan Pvt. Ltd., informed that the service will be closed on December 1st and 2nd for tower maintenance.
The service will resume on Wednesday, Dec 18, as per Sherchan’s statement.
During this period, the restaurant service at the Vatm Station will remain operational, according to the company.
The Manakamana Cable Car, launched on 24 Nov, 1998, with the aim of making the visit to the popular religious site, Manakamana Temple in Gorkha’s Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality, more convenient for devotees, was the first of its kind in Nepal.
The cable car’s entrance is located at Vatm Station, in Chheeres, Ichhakamana Rural Municipality-4, Chitwan.
