KATHMANDU: The much-anticipated play Hari Hajurba is set to premiere at Mandala Theatre, Thapagaun, from Dec 19.
Written, conceptualized, and directed by renowned actor Nazir Hussain, the play features Nazir himself alongside celebrated actor Bijay Baral.
The cast also includes Riyulsang, Sabina Thapa, Rohit Shah, Sujana Pandey, Manish Pandey, and Risu Raut.
The play is produced by veteran actors Dayahang Rai and Buddhi Tamang.
Hari Hajurba poignantly explores the impact of conflict and the depths of human relationships.
It tells the emotional story of a young postman, Hari, delivering letters while an elderly grandfather awaits his granddaughter, who disappeared during the conflict.
Inspired by poetry, the narrative blends lyrical elements into a dramatic structure, aiming to soothe the wounds left by conflict.
The production team hopes the play’s message and presentation will leave audiences deeply moved.
The play will run until Jan 12, with daily performances except Mondays.
There will be two shows at 1 PM and 5:15 PM on Saturdays.
