PM Oli extends wishes for Dhanya Purnima, Udhauli, Yomari Punhi, and Jyapu Day

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has extended his best wishes to those celebrating Dhanya Purnima, Udhauli festival, Yomari Punhi, and Jyapu Day.

In a social media post, PM Oli remarked, “Today marks Dhanya Purnima, a day of significant importance during the traditional agricultural era. Known as Dhanya Purnima, this festival is a time to express gratitude for the paddy harvest, which is reaped in the month of Mangsir after being planted in Asar.”

He further highlighted that Udhauli festival symbolizes the migration of humans, animals, and birds from highlands to lowlands to escape the cold.
