Leopard terror in Aanbukhaireni
Chairperson of Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality-3, Dinesh KC, said locals are getting frightened when the leopard is frequently seen at Panighatta area in the evening.
KATHMANDU: Locals of Panighatta, Aapchautara, Chowkchisapani areas of Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality are terrified with the visibility of leopard in their locality every day.
Chairperson of Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality-3, Dinesh KC, said locals are getting frightened when the leopard is frequently seen at Panighatta area in the evening.
Efforts are underway to keep cages at these areas with the collaboration of Division Forest Office to save locals from leopard attack, he added, requesting the locals to stay alert.
Earlier, a cage was kept at Chowkchisapani. Two leopards were seen at Chowkchisapani on last Friday, said a local Prashanna Adhikari.
Meanwhile, Forest Division Office requested to light-up their homes and huts in the evening and night, not to walk alone and to take care of children and elderly persons.
