KATHMANDU: Kathmandu’s temperature dropped to 2 degrees Celsius this morning, marking the lowest recorded temperature of the year, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

The temperature continued to fall, reaching 2°C by 9 AM.

Earlier today, at around 5:45 AM, the temperature was recorded at 2.5°C. On Friday night, the capital saw a minimum temperature of 3.1°C.

Meanwhile, Jumla recorded the lowest temperature in the country at minus 7.2 degrees Celsius.

In contrast, Biratnagar recorded the highest minimum temperature at 9 degrees Celsius.
