Valley sees coldest temperature of the year at 3.4°C
Authorities have advised the public to take precautions, as the cold weather may disrupt daily activities.

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley recorded its lowest temperature for the first time this year.
On the morning of Dec 13, the minimum temperature dropped to 3.4 degrees Celsius, marking the coldest reading of the year so far.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, temperatures are expected to dip further, intensifying the cold. Meteorologist Binu Maharjan stated, “The temperature recorded at 5:45 AM was 3.4 degrees Celsius, the lowest recorded this year.” On Thursday, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu was 3.9 degrees Celsius.
Maharjan also noted that temperatures are declining nationwide, with the cold gradually increasing.
