Court extends Rabi Lamichhane’s custody by five more days

KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former Home Minister, will remain in custody for an additional five days.

On Thursday, Kaski District Court Judge Chandrakant Paudel granted the police permission to extend his detention.

Lamichhane was arrested on Oct 18 from the party’s central office in Baneshwor.

He is under investigation for alleged cooperative fraud, money laundering, and organized crime.

Police state that the investigation is now in its final phase.
