CoAS General Sigdel meets Indian Counterpart

KATHMANDU: General Ashok Raj Sigdel, Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) of Nepal, met on Wednesday with India’s Chief of the Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, in New Delhi as part of his official visit to India.

The Nepali Army’s Public Relations and Information Directorate reported that during his visit, CoAS Sigdel also engaged in discussions with key Indian officials, including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan, Defence Secretary, and Foreign Secretary.

As a mark of respect, CoAS Sigdel laid a wreath at the National War Memorial in New Delhi, honoring the sacrifices of the nation’s brave martyrs.

In a gesture of courtesy, a contingent of the Indian Army presented him with a formal guard of honor.
