KATHMANDU: Tamankhola Rural Municipality has initiated the upgrade of the 10-km road from Bongadobhan to Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve.

The municipality has allocated Rs 14.55 million for the project, according to Chair Jokalla Budha Magar.

The up-gradation work includes widening the road and constructing drainage systems and a culvert at Bongkhani rivulet.

Initially opened in 2075 BS, the current narrow road has posed challenges for commuters.

Chulendra BK of Tamankhola-2 noted that the improvements will ease travel for locals.

Tamankhola, located in Baglung, remains a remote region where many areas still lack road connectivity.
