KATHMANDU: An auto accident in Pakha village, Sisne Rural Municipality-6, Rukum West, resulted in the death of a 12-year-old girl and injuries to four others last night.

The victim, Bishnu Budhamagar, was from Khopichar, Sisne-6.

The auto-rickshaw, with registration number Lumbini Province 02001 Ha 0350, was traveling towards Rukum from Pakha village along the Mid-Hill Highway when it crashed.

According to Him Bahadur KC, an Information Officer at the District Police Office, the injured include 16-year-old Mahendra Budhamagar from Sisne-6; 14-year-old Sushila Budhamagar from the same ward; 11-year-old Sushmita Budhamagar; and 40-year-old auto driver Top Bahadur from Sisne-5.

Mahendra, severely injured, was transferred to Nepaljung for further treatment.

KC reported that the other three victims, though injured, are not in life-threatening condition and are being treated at the Rukum District Hospital.

The accident occurred when the driver lost control of the auto, causing it to fall 50 meters off the road.
