Earthquake hits Bajhang

KATHMANDU: An earthquake struck with its epicenter near Raijal in Bajhang.

According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre in Lainchaur, the earthquake occurred at 11:02 AM today with a magnitude of 3.9 on the Richter scale, centered around Raijal, Bajhang.

Previously, on Nov 21, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale had struck the Annapurna region, near the border of Kaski and Manang.

The Centre has indicated that earthquakes in Nepal have been ongoing recently.

Due to its location in the Himalayan region, Nepal is considered a high-risk area for earthquakes.
