Mike Tyson sued for $1.5M over Jake Paul fight deal
Medier, a promoter for betting platform Rabona, filed the case against Tyson and his company, Tyrannic, in London’s High Court.

KATHMANDU: Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson faces a lawsuit exceeding $1.5 million from Cyprus-based company Medier, which claims he wrongfully terminated a promotional deal to pursue a fight with Jake Paul.
Medier, a promoter for betting platform Rabona, filed the case against Tyson and his company, Tyrannic, in London’s High Court.
The dispute stems from a contract signed in January, which Tyson allegedly ended in March, citing Medier’s breach of agreement.
However, the lawsuit argues Tyson’s real motivation for the abrupt termination was a separate, Netflix-backed deal to fight social media influencer Jake Paul.
Medier is demanding the return of over $800,000 paid to Tyson for unfulfilled services, along with $729,000 in promotional and production expenses.
Tyson, now 58, reportedly earned $20 million from his recent fight with the 27-year-old Paul.
The event, held at the Dallas Cowboys’ stadium, attracted over 70,000 spectators and was streamed live on Netflix. Paul secured a unanimous decision victory after eight rounds.
Tyson’s legal team maintains that Medier violated the contract by failing to obtain his approval for promotional materials.
