Two fatal accidents in Morang: Pedestrian & scooter driver killed
The truck driver has been taken into police custody.
KATHMANDU: Two separate accidents have resulted in fatalities in Morang.
On Sunday afternoon, a pedestrian, 26-year-old Man Bahadur Limbu of Kanepokhari Municipality-2, was struck by a truck (license plate: Ko 1 Kha 3480) at the Hatkhola Bus Park in Biratnagar Metropolitan-7.
He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The truck driver has been taken into police custody.
In another incident, a tipper (license plate: Na 7 Kha 3223) collided with a scooter (license plate: Pr 1-02-054 Pa 3558) on Sunday night at Salakpur, Sundarharaicha Municipality-9.
The scooter driver, 44-year-old Yam Bahadur Rayamajhi of Pathari Shanishchare Municipality-3, was critically injured and later died at Nobel Hospital in Biratnagar.
The tipper driver has also been arrested by the police.
The police are conducting necessary investigations into both incidents.
