Indian gas bullet plunges into Trishuli River on way to Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: A gas bullet truck heading towards Kathmandu has fallen into the Trishuli River.

The Indian gas bullet, carrying gas from Krishna Bheer in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality of Dhading, fell into the Trishuli River.

According to Pralhad Silwal, the Information Officer at the District Police Office, Dhading, the vehicle with registration number NL 02 L 3907 was heading to Kathmandu when the incident occurred.

The front part of the gas bullet truck got stuck on the cliff, while the rear part, which was carrying gas, was seen floating in the river.

Silwal further mentioned, “The gas bullet fell from Krishna Bhir, with the front part stuck on the cliff, while the rear part was found floating in the Trishuli River.”

Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel have been deployed at the scene.

The driver, Pankaj Kumar, is reported to have fled, and efforts are underway to locate him. Silwal confirmed that the search operation is ongoing.
