Bhutan’s King Wangchuck pays visit to Bouddha (photos)

KATHMANDU: Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck visited the Bouddhanath Stupa and observed the surrounding Buddhist area today in Kathmandu.

Prior to this, he had also visited the Swayambhunath Stupa.

The King arrived in Kathmandu while returning to Bhutan from India and is scheduled to return to Bhutan later today.

The king spent approximately 30 minutes at the site, taking in the view of the Kathmandu Valley from Swayambhunath.
