KATHMANDU: In the ninth edition of the prestigious ICT Award 2024, Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) has joined as a partner through its NEPALPAY QR.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between NCHL and the ICT Award, marking a significant collaboration.

The award ceremony is set to take place on Poush 5, 2081 (Dec 20, 2024) at Hyatt Regency Kathmandu, where awards will be presented across 14 categories.

For the past 16 years, NCHL has been dedicated to the development and promotion of digital payments in Nepal.

Similarly, the ICT Award has consistently honored various companies, startups, and individuals contributing to the information technology sector.

This partnership between NCHL and the ICT Award is expected to play a crucial role in furthering Nepal’s digital ecosystem.

NEPALPAY QR, under the National Payment Switch, operates with a QR-based system, ensuring interoperability at both merchant and network levels.

Over 875,000 merchants have been integrated into the NEPALPAY QR network, with support from financial institutions, banks, and payment service providers.

Customers can conveniently make payments via 40 mobile banking apps, 11 wallet apps, and ConnectIPS, streamlining digital transactions across the country.
