FDB releases list of 166 operating cinema halls

KATHMANDU: The Film Development Board (FDB) has released a list of cinema halls operating across the country.

According to a notification, there are 166 cinema halls in Nepal.

The list shows that there are 67 cinema halls in Bagmati Province, 31 in Koshi Province, 26 in Madhesh Province, 14 in Gandaki, 24 in Lumbini, 3 in Karnali, and 1 in Sudurpashchim.

The Board has also mentioned the number of cinema halls and seats.

It has indicated that the number of operating cinema halls may increase or decrease in the future.

The Board has advised distributors to only provide films for screening in registered cinema halls and ensure they are properly renewed.
