KATHMANDU: On the occasion of the 33rd International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank successfully concluded its institutional social responsibility program on Tuesday.

The bank announced efforts to make its Durbar Marg branch more disability-friendly by utilizing available resources to facilitate banking services for persons with disabilities.

A dedicated staff member has been assigned as a contact person and focal point at the Durbar Marg branch to provide easy access to services for individuals with disabilities.

Additionally, the bank distributed materials, including white canes, to persons with disabilities at its central office in Durbar Marg.

Embracing the United Nations and the Government of Nepal’s slogan, “Infrastructure for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future, Strong Leadership of Persons with Disabilities as the Foundation,” the bank collaborated with Disability Protection Nepal to support people with physical disabilities and visual impairments.

The bank believes that such initiatives will contribute to improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities and building a foundation for an inclusive and sustainable future.

In line with its commitment to providing advanced, secure, and accessible digital banking services, the bank recently launched the “Mahalakshmi Smart Sathi” mobile application.
