Motorcycle rider killed in collision with bus in Jhapa

KATHMANDU: A collision between a bus and a motorcycle in Telibari, Mechinagar Municipality-11, Jhapa, has resulted in the death of one person.
The deceased, 55-year-old Kisan Nyaupane from Bhadrapur Municipality-10, was the motorcycle rider.
According to Krishna Kumar Chand, spokesperson for the Jhapa District Police Office, the incident occurred on the East-West Highway when a bus (registration number Bagmati PR-01-006-K 4909) and a motorcycle (registration number ME 10 PA 3572) collided.
Nyaupane sustained serious injuries and was rushed to B&C Hospital in Birtamode, where he was declared dead upon arrival.
The bus driver, 42-year-old Vijay Kumar Yadav from Udaypur Chaudandigadhi Municipality-6, and the motorcycle have been taken into custody by the Dhulabari Area Police Office, as confirmed by the Jhapa District Police Office.
