Nepal Life donates Rs 1 million to Samata Education Foundation

KATHMANDU: Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has provided Rs 1 million to Samata Education Foundation under its corporate social responsibility program.
The company’s director, Kamlesh Kumar Agarwal, and CEO, Praveen Raman Parajuli, handed over a check for Rs 1 million to the Chair of Samata Education Foundation, Deepak Sanjel, during a ceremony.
During the event, Nepal Life’s director Agarwal expressed his gratitude to the founder and management of Samata Education Foundation, which has been providing quality education in English from nursery to postgraduate levels to economically disadvantaged children with a monthly fee of only Rs 100.
He emphasized that this educational initiative would play a crucial role in nation-building.
Similarly, CEO Praveen Raman Parajuli stated that providing quality education to the country’s future leaders would help the nation develop skilled human resources.
He highlighted that the Rs 1 million donation was made under the company’s CSR program and assured that Nepal Life would continue to support the development of education in the future.
Speaking at the event, Samata Education Foundation’s Chairman Deepak Sanjel shared that, with a 23-year history, the foundation currently serves around 30,000 students across all 77 districts of the country.
He mentioned that the school has been running with the support of various organizations but emphasized the need for a permanent fund for sustainability.
He stated that the funds provided by Nepal Life would be placed in an endowment fund, and the income generated from it would be used to continue the educational operations of the schools.
