Rojina Shrestha sworn in as Ward Chair from RSP

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah administered the oath of office to the ward chairperson elected from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in the by-election held in Ward No. 16 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City on Tuesday.

During the event, Mayor Shah administered the oath to the newly elected ward chairperson, Rojina Shrestha.

Shrestha emerged victorious by defeating candidates from the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML in the election.

She secured a total of 2,902 votes, winning the position.

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol, among other participants.

The by-election was held on Sunday following the passing of the previous ward chairperson, Mukunda Rijal.
