KMC speeds up footpath expansion in Durbar Marg (photos)

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has intensified its footpath expansion program in the Durbar Marg area.

The initiative includes managing drainage systems, undergrounding electrical wires, and conserving plants and trees.

The narrow footpaths in this major commercial hub had been causing difficulties for pedestrians.

The metropolis has been expanding footpaths in other major commercial areas as well.

Earlier, similar work was carried out in New Road and surrounding areas.
