Four dead in Tamil Nadu landslide

AGENCY: Rescuers in Tamil Nadu’s southern region have recovered four bodies from a landslide site, authorities reported on Dec. 3.

The landslide, caused by heavy rains on Sunday, struck a residential building in Tiruvannamalai, approximately 195 km west of Chennai, trapping seven people.

However, large boulders obstructed scanning equipment, hindering the search efforts.

On Monday afternoon, a second landslide struck the area, but it remains unclear whether there were any casualties from this event.
