19-year-old biker killed in tip truck collision
The injured pillion rider, 22-year-old Deepak Basnet of Tulsipur-17, is currently receiving treatment.
KATHMANDU: A motorcyclist lost his life, and his pillion rider sustained injuries after being struck by a tip truck in Dang on Monday evening.
The deceased, identified as 19-year-old Sudip Budhathoki of Kutichaur, Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-19, succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the Rapti Health Sciences Institute in Ghorahi, according to District Police Spokesperson DSP Ishwar Thapa.
The injured pillion rider, 22-year-old Deepak Basnet of Tulsipur-17, is currently receiving treatment.
The accident occurred at around 6:30 PM at Jharbaira Chowk in Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-10. The tip truck (Ra 1 Kha 1291) traveling in the same direction collided with the motorcycle (Ra 7 Pa 746).
Police have detained the truck driver, 40-year-old Jit Bahadur Chaudhary of Dokrena, Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-11.
Further investigation into the incident is underway, authorities confirmed.
