Afghan police detain 24 criminals

KABUL: Police have apprehended 24 individuals allegedly involved in criminal activities across Afghanistan over the past 24 hours, the Ministry for Interior Affairs said on Monday.

The arrested were involved in theft, armed robbery, murder and smuggling weapons illegally, among other criminal activities, the ministry said.

The caretaker government has vowed to ensure law and order in the war-ravaged country.
