KATHMANDU: Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav today inaugurated the ‘Shri Gadhimai Panchabarshe Mela’ (Five-Yearly Fair) at the famous Gadhimai Temple in Bara District.

The event began with a special ceremony held within the temple complex, as announced by the Vice President’s office.

On this occasion, Vice President Yadav, accompanied by his wife Champa Devi and other family members, visited the Gadhimai Temple for darshan and worship.

He was warmly welcomed by former ministers, former lawmakers, local security officers, members of the Gadhimai Fair’s management committee, representatives of the relevant municipalities, and other devotees present at the site.

In addition to the temple visit, Vice President Yadav observed the fair and gathered information about its management from the committee’s chairman, Upendra Prasad Yadav, and security personnel. He wished for the success of the event, according to the Vice President’s office.
