DPM Singh assigned acting PM responsibilities

KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel has assigned Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Urban Development, Prakashman Singh, to handle the daily administrative duties in the absence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Prime Minister Oli left for China today for an official visit at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Li Qiang.

In his absence, President Paudel has designated Deputy Prime Minister Singh to take on the responsibilities as per the recommendation of the Prime Minister, in accordance with Nepal’s Constitution.

Oli is scheduled to return to Nepal on Dec 5 after completing his official visit to China.
