In the 78th minute, Liverpool doubled their advantage after City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega fouled Luis Díaz, resulting in a penalty. Salah converted the penalty, sealing the win for his team.

With 34 points from 13 matches, Liverpool now tops the table. Manchester City, with 23 points, is in fifth place.

Arsenal and Chelsea, in second and third place respectively, both have 25 points.
