Dangol leads in Kirtipur mayor race, Congress wins Ward 1

KATHMANDU: Kirtipur Municipality mayoral candidate Krishna Man Dangol from the Nepali Congress is leading in the election.

According to the Election Commission, Dangol has secured 789 votes.

Surendra Manandhar from the CPN (UML) has received 666 votes, while Shiva Sharan Maharjan from the Maoist Centre has garnered 465 votes.

Independent candidate Rajman Maharjan has received 418 votes.

In Ward No. 1, Congress’s Ichhakumar Maharjan has won with 562 votes. The result for Ward No. 4 is yet to be announced.
