PM Oli to begin official visit to China tomorrow
The visit, scheduled from Dec 2 to 5, will focus on enhancing bilateral relations.
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will depart for Beijing tomorrow, Monday morning, for an official visit to the People’s Republic of China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
The visit, scheduled from Dec 2 to 5, will focus on enhancing bilateral relations.
During his stay, Prime Minister Oli is set to hold discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.
He will also meet with Premier Li to exchange views on a range of topics of mutual interest.
Additionally, Prime Minister Oli will meet Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China.
Prime Minister Oli is also scheduled to deliver a keynote address at Peking University. He will participate in a Nepal-China Business Forum organized jointly by the Nepal Embassy in Beijing, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Accompanying the Prime Minister will be his wife, Radhika Shakya, as well as Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, Prime Minister’s Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Economic and Development Advisor Dr. Yubraj Khatiwada, members of parliament, senior government officials, representatives from the private sector, and media personnel.
The delegation is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on Dec 5.
