Arsenal thrash West Ham 5-2 to climb to second in Premier League
This was Arsenal's most impressive league win of the season.
KATHMANDU: Arsenal climbed to second place in the Premier League with a dominant 5-2 victory over West Ham at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday.
Bukayo Saka, Gabriel, Leandro Trossard, Martin Ødegaard, and Kai Havertz were the goalscorers for Arsenal.
This was Arsenal’s most impressive league win of the season. Captain Martin Ødegaard returned from injury after two months, and since then, the team has been delivering excellent performances.
After the international break, Arsenal defeated Nottingham Forest 3-0, Sporting Lisbon 5-1 in the Champions League, and West Ham 5-2.
Bukayo Saka has contributed 10 assists and 5 goals in 13 appearances this season. After the match, Saka said, “I take the most joy from the win. We’ve shown our true potential in the last three games.”
With this win, Arsenal has reduced the points gap to Liverpool.
Their next match is against Manchester City at home on Sunday, where the team will look to avenge defeats from the past two seasons.
