Man killed in motorcycle-scooter collision in Itahari

KATHMANDU: A man died in a crash between a motorcycle and a scooter in Itahari.

The incident occurred near Kali Temple in Khanar when a motorcycle collided with a scooter crossing the road.

The scooter rider, 54-year-old Gopal Rijal, succumbed to head injuries at Birat Teaching Hospital.

His wife, 33-year-old Babita Rijal, was injured.

The motorcyclist, 26-year-old Aashik Alam, and his passenger, 25-year-old Binita Pathak, were also injured and are being treated at a hospital in Biratnagar.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
