Health Minister calls for efficient use of resources

KATHMANDU: Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel has emphasized maximizing benefits from Nepal’s limited resources.

Speaking at a national joint annual review meeting, he noted that a lack of action plans had hindered budget utilization, urging officials to prioritize resource efficiency within available limits.

Minister Paudel stressed the importance of hospital sanitation to maintain public trust, advocating for visible fee information and plastic-free zones in health facilities.

The meeting, which includes officials from health, ayurveda, and drug administration departments, aims to assess the past year’s progress in the health sector.

It will continue until Friday.
