13th Nepal-Africa Film Festival to feature global films in Kathmandu
Festival director Dabbu Chhetri announced that the event is now accepting film submissions.
KATHMANDU: The 13th Nepal-Africa Film Festival will take place in Kathmandu during the third week of January 2025.
Organized by the College of Journalism and Mass Communication (CJMC) and Bilakshan Creation, the festival aims to foster cultural exchange between Nepal and Africa.
Festival director Dabbu Chhetri announced that the event is now accepting film submissions.
“The festival is designed to promote understanding of Africa’s diverse culture,” he said. “In addition to African films, we have expanded this year’s festival to include international films.”
Traditionally focused on Nepali and African films, this year’s event will also showcase entries from other countries in the “international category.”
Film submissions are due by Dec 31, and the festival will include workshops, discussions on Nepali cinema, and various side events.
