KATHMANDU: The National Cyber Olympiad–Inter School ICT Quiz Competition 2081 is set to take place this year, providing a remarkable platform for secondary-level students to explore and engage with the world of Information Technology (IT).

Organized by Prashikshan and managed by Paila Creation, the event aims to enhance students’ knowledge and skills through a series of stimulating quiz rounds covering topics such as General ICT, ICT Curriculum, Current Events, Logical Reasoning, Mental Aptitude, and ICT Tools and Gadgets.

Participants from 50 different schools will compete in a knockout format, ensuring a competitive and engaging experience.

The competition will run in three phases: Qualifying, Semifinal, and Final, beginning on December 30, 2024. Registration for the competition remains open until December 20, 2024.

The grand finale is scheduled for January 20, 2025.

Throughout the event, participants will face challenges in multiple quiz rounds, including General, Curriculum, Logical, Multimedia, Defending, Gambling, and Gasping rounds. The winning team will be awarded an impressive package of cash prizes, a trophy, medals, and gift hampers.

According to Mr. Laxman Pokhrel, Founder President of Prashikshan, the National Cyber Olympiad provides students with a vital extracurricular opportunity to enhance their knowledge and develop practical skills in Information Communication Technology.

The competition is designed to foster IT education among secondary-level students while inspiring them to explore the field further.

This year’s Olympiad also features weekly IT workshops, accessible to both participants and non-participants.

These workshops aim to equip students with valuable technological skills and insights, ensuring a broader impact beyond the quiz competition.
