Protest in Maitighar demands release of Rabi Lamichhane

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) activists held a protest in Maitighar, Kathmandu, demanding the release of their president, Rabi Lamichhane, who was arrested in connection with a cooperative scam.

The demonstrators chanted slogans like “End political revenge, release Rabi” as they gathered at Maitighar.

Lamichhane, who is facing charges of cooperative fraud, is currently in police custody.

After completing his statement in Pokhara, he is being brought to Kathmandu today.
