KATHMANDU: Binita Yadav from Solukhumbu, who has been protesting for justice after alleging domestic violence by her husband, was arrested by the police while demonstrating in front of the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
Yadav, who married Pradeep Kathayat from Ramechhap after developing a romantic relationship with him in Kathmandu, filed a case in court accusing her husband of domestic abuse.
However, she claimed that the judges, after taking a bribe, ordered that she must divorce her husband, which she strongly opposed.
In protest, Yadav threw black ink on the Supreme Court’s board, leading to her arrest.
She has been detained multiple times in the past for similar protests.
