Fog in terai, rain & snow likely in hills & mountains

KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the general influence of westerly winds is prevailing in the country.

As a result, the hilly regions are experiencing partly cloudy weather, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear.

Some areas in the Terai region are witnessing light fog.

Daytime Forecast:

Partly to generally cloudy weather is expected in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki States.

The rest of the country will see partly cloudy to clear skies. Light rain is likely in one or two places in the hilly areas of these States, while light snowfall is possible in some higher hilly and mountainous regions.

Nighttime Forecast:

During the night, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki States will remain partly to generally cloudy, with other areas experiencing partly cloudy to clear weather.

Light rain may occur at one or two places in the hilly regions of these States, along with light snowfall in some higher hilly and mountainous areas.

Next 24 Hours:

The department has predicted light rain in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki States within the next 24 hours.

Additionally, light snowfall is expected in some high-altitude hilly and mountainous areas.

Precautionary Measures:

Temporary or partial impacts may occur on agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road, and air transportation.

The department advises necessary precautions to mitigate any potential disruptions.
