Rabi Lamichhane to be transferred to Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane, who was arrested on charges of cooperative fraud, is set to be transferred to Kathmandu.

His transfer follows the completion of his statement recording in Pokhara.

The Kaski District Court granted permission on Sunday to extend Lamichhane’s detention for an additional 15 days for investigation.

According to Kaski District Police, he is being sent to Kathmandu to assist with the investigation into the alleged embezzlement of funds from Swarnalakshmi Cooperative.

A warrant for Lamichhane’s arrest had already been issued by the Kathmandu District Court.
