KMC & CAHO host ‘CAHO NEPACON First Edition 2024’ conference (photos)

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Medical College (KMC), in collaboration with CAHO International (Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations), successfully hosted the “CAHO NEPACON First Edition 2024” on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Hotel Ryne, Gaushala, Kathmandu.
Themed “Enhancing Patient Safety through Technology – Innovations in Healthcare”, the international conference was a landmark event in advancing healthcare quality and patient safety.
The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of Health and Population, Pradip Poudel, who emphasized the importance of technology and innovations, including artificial intelligence, in strengthening healthcare systems and ensuring patient safety.
The program was conceptualized by Ms. Soina Sharma, Chairperson of Kathmandu Medical College, and brought together over 175 healthcare professionals from Nepal and India.
Participants represented a diverse range of institutions, including government organizations, academic institutions, and private healthcare providers.
Renowned speakers from India and Nepal, including leaders from CAHO International, delivered insightful sessions on critical topics such as Emotional Intelligence in Healthcare Leadership, Disaster Management, Clinical Communication, and Operational Efficiency.
The sessions also addressed global trends in technological, clinical, and professional development.
Highlighting the event’s success, KMC Hospital Manager Narayan Dahal expressed pride in the collaboration and emphasized the importance of such conferences in shaping the future of healthcare.
The conference set a benchmark for healthcare discussions in Nepal and reaffirmed the commitment to patient safety and innovation.
