KATHMANDU: The Nepal Premier League (NPL) trophy is set to be unveiled today, as announced by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will unveil the trophy shortly at a special event organized by CAN.

The unveiling ceremony will take place at the historic Dharahara, in collaboration with Siddhartha Bank. The event will be graced by Prime Minister Oli, CAN officials, and other distinguished guests.

A unique feature of the NPL trophy is its incorporation of a stone from Kala Patthar, located near the Everest Base Camp.

According to CAN Secretary Paras Khadka, this trophy symbolizes not just cricket excellence but also carries a global message of mountain conservation.

The stone for the trophy was brought by climbers Nima Sherpa and Mingma Sherpa, who were honored with traditional khadas during the unveiling ceremony.
