Couple killed in motorcycle accident in Itahari
The Magic vehicle crashed into a Bullet motorcycle with the license plate number Ko 36 Pa 5637.
KATHMANDU: An accident occurred in Itahari when a Magic vehicle collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of a married couple.
According to the Itahari Area Police Office, the incident took place at around 12 PM on Sunday (today) near the Balgram Chowk in Itahari-17.
The Magic vehicle crashed into a Bullet motorcycle with the license plate number Ko 36 Pa 5637.
The deceased have been identified as 32-year-old Yubraj Gurung and 32-year-old Tika Gurung, both from Dharma Devi Municipality in Sankhuwasabha.
The Magic vehicle was heading towards Inaruwa from Itahari, while the motorcycle was traveling in the opposite direction when the collision occurred. The police have not yet confirmed the license plate number of the Magic vehicle.
Both victims sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for treatment. Unfortunately, they were declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the accident scene to identify the Magic vehicle involved.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
