Nepal Kabaddi League unveils its logo, cities, and trophy

KATHMANDU: A special event to unveil the logo, franchise cities, and trophy of the Nepal Kabaddi League (NKL) was held in the capital today with grandeur.
The program’s chief guest was Honorable Home Minister Mr. Ramesh Lekhak. Special guests included Honorable Youth and Sports Minister Mr. Teju Lal Chaudhary, Nepal Olympic Committee President Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Mr. Kamal Kumar Begani, All Nepal Kabaddi Association President Ms. Tulsi Thapa, General Secretary of the All Nepal Kabaddi Association Mr. Arbind Kumar Jha and Member Secretary of Koshi State Sports Development Board, Mr. Krishna Basnet.
The highlight of the program was the unveiling of the Nepal Kabaddi League logo.

Alongside the logo reveal, the names of the franchise cities for the first edition of the league were also announced.
The six franchise cities participating in the first edition are Kathmandu, Pokhara, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Dhangadhi, and Butwal.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Amit Begani, Chair of Astrionix Management, said: “We are unveiling the logo after nearly a year, and I am incredibly excited about this moment. This league is organized with the aim of promoting Nepal’s sports and Kabaddi in particular.” The chief guest, Honorable Home Minister Mr. Ramesh Lekhak, shared his connection with the game, stating: “I am a great admirer of Kabaddi. Growing up, there weren’t many sports available, and Kabaddi was the first sport I played. It holds a special place in my heart. I extend my heartfelt best wishes for the success of the Nepal Kabaddi League.”
Towards the end of the program, the host surprised everyone by presenting the trophy for the event.
Chief guest Honorable Home Minister Mr. Ramesh Lekhak, special guests Honorable Youth and Sports Minister Mr. Teju Lal Chaudhary, All Nepal Kabaddi Association President Ms. Tulsi Thapa, and Chair of Astrionix Management Mr. Amit Begani presented the trophy, which was named the “Trophy of Unity”. Designed as a special highlight of the event, the trophy symbolizes Nepal’s rich diversity and cultural heritage.
The unveiling of the Nepal Kabaddi League logo, cities, and trophy marks the beginning of a new chapter in Nepali sports.
This initiative is expected to elevate Kabaddi as a national pride and foster the development of players across the country.
