KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has refused to accept a fine notice of Rs 100,000 issued by the Metropolitan City for environmental pollution during its Awakening Rally on Mangsir 7 (Nov 22).

A city team visited the UML office on Sunday to deliver the fine notice, but the party declined, claiming they were not the organizers of the event.

The rally, held last Friday at Durbar Marg, had allegedly caused littering on roads and sidewalks, prompting the city to issue the fine.
