KATHMANDU: A petition filed against the leaders of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) for contempt of court is scheduled for hearing.
The petition, registered by lawyer Anupam Bhattarai, will be heard before the joint bench of Justices Hariprasad Phuyal and Balakrishna Dhakal.
Due to a high volume of cases, the petition has been listed towards the end of the hearing schedule, and there is a possibility it may not be addressed today.
The petition accuses RSP leaders, including central officials like Swarnim Bagale, spokesperson Manish Jha, Sumana Shrestha, Ashok Kumar Chaudhary, Birajbhakta Maharjan, Toshima Karki, Ashim Shah, Ganesh Parajuli, and Sovita Gautam, of attempting to influence the court, incite public protests, and obstruct the judicial process.
